Thanks to all those who have been keeping me in their thoughts and prayers these past few months.  I'm still on the mend, I'm able to tollerate walking short distances, I need a walking cane to get around, and I need to be careful - my doctor says if I fall, I'll be back for surgery on my hip or another part of my back due to severe osteoporosis.  But I'm under treatment for that and am working very hard to get back on my feet . . .

Now that I've got that out of the way, I'm happy to report that I am re-working my repretoire and trying to get back to performing.  I have several gigues scheduled already for this year: 

I will be at the Shakespeare's Birthday Celebration at Folger Shakespeare Library Sunday, April 26.  That is always an exciting event, and all Rennies & Re-enactors are welcome to come out in garg!  Please come out and stop by to say hello!  

I plan to be at Virginia Renaissance Faire this year, Saturdays and perhaps some Sundays.  I've convinced Massage Matters, my Massage Therapists to set up a tent for at least some of the weekends, so come on out and get a massage - then stay for the music! 

In September (19th-20th) I will be at the second oldest successful English Settlement in the New World, Henricus Historical Park, Chesterfield, VA for Publicke Days.  The Godspeed is scheduled to visit and give tours.  

I am talking with Maryland Renaissance Festival about coming back this year.  I'm hoping to be invited back, and excited at the possibility of performing at one of the top festivals I've ever performed.

Thanks to all the good folks who took the time to think of me and pray for me during my surgery and while I am recovering. 

It's been a little over a month now, and I apologize for the delay in updating my status, but recovery has been slow and painful.  They cut into my stomach, 5 1/2" - 6" C-Section then moved all the organs, etc. inside out of the way while the doctor replaced discs & spacers for L3, L4, L5, & S1.   It took 3 hours, for the surgery, and 5 days in the hospital. 

Thank God for Massage Therapy, to help with the pain, without it I'd be popping percaset & Vallium. 

I am looking forward to pain free or least less painful festivals this year,  and hope to be out performing this upcoming year as the doctors allow.
